Clients opt in in one of two ways. (1) In the Scape-Ops client portal, or when accepting a proposal, the client sees an optional, unchecked checkbox labeled "Yes, text me about my project," next to their mobile number. The disclosure beside it reads: "I agree to receive text messages from [Landscaping Company] about my landscaping project (schedule updates, progress photos, change orders and replies) at the mobile number above. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Terms: https://scape-ops.com/terms Privacy: https://scape-ops.com/privacy." Checking the box is never required to sign a contract, accept a proposal or pay. The consent, with date, time and source, is recorded on the client's record. The first message the business sends in any conversation identifies the company and includes "Reply STOP to opt out.
